• Prefers full sun

• Needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily

• Morning sun is ideal to help dry dew from the leaves

• Too little sunlight can reduce flowering and encourage disease

• Water deeply 2–3 times per week, depending on the weather

• Keep the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged

• Water at the base of the plant to keep the leaves dry

• Increase watering during hot, dry periods and reduce during winter

• Ensure the planting area or pot has excellent drainage

• Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a quality rose fertilizer

• Stop fertilizing in late autumn and winter

• Remove spent flowers (deadhead) to encourage more blooms

• Prune annually during winter to promote healthy new growth

• Remove dead, damaged, or diseased stems as needed

• Apply mulch around the base to help retain moisture and suppress weeds

     ⚠️ Common Issues

• Yellow leaves → overwatering, poor drainage, or nutrient deficiency

• Black spots on leaves → fungal disease caused by poor air circulation or wet foliage

• Aphids → common pests that can be removed with insecticidal soap or a strong spray of water

• Poor flowering → insufficient sunlight or lack of feeding

• Rose Bushes are generally pet-safe

• Roses are non-toxic to cats and dogs
